Aion has launched in North America. No, I am not playing and have no plans of playing.
Aion has really long server queues. Anyone that believed that a new, AAA MMOG could launch in this day and age without server queues is ignorant, blind, or just a flat-out newb.
Enjoy waiting in line.
WoW and WAR are the last two mmo's that I can think of that had server ques, so I don't totally agree with you. But, with the popularity of the open beta and with the server issues, it should not have been a surprise to see a que, just not that long.
ReplyDeleteGuess I am lucky living on the west coast and picked a west coast server I have yet to have a que. That might change after tomorrow.
No queues all day today! Also no lag, 35fps min with most settings 90% of max and 2x AA with a ATi radeon mobility 4850, crafting 2nd best to EQ2, and the potential for an incredible endgame PvP experience.
ReplyDeleteI have no doubt the haters (you and Syncaine) will be joining us when the initial bias wears off.
@Anon
ReplyDeleteI have not hated too much on Aion (if at all outside of this post).
I just don't have the time (new baby) to play a subscription MMO.
Aion looks good IMHO and as I've stated before is the ! of the Diku-inspired MMO.
Gotta love anonymous responses.
ReplyDeletepiece of crap lazy retards of ncsoft.can't be bothered to upgrade servers hense the cue's are bigger and bigger daily.i just recently closed my sub with them and imo its only going to get worse for everyone.ncsoft just can't be arsed shelling out any money on a decent quality server.
