I won't lie. I hit the Hatorade pretty hard in regards to SOE. But come on, they aren't even trying anymore!!! Evidence: The Agency gameplay video.
UPDATE: Please read the comments for speculation on when this video was from. I blame it all on Razor.
I'm not sure what's worse: John Smedley's Steve Jobs "I only wear comfortable clothes" impersonation or the actual gameplay footage. I could sit here and make a bunch of comparisons between fat chicks and the gameplay, but I won't. SOE, put this garbage back in the shed until you have something decent to show us.
I dont know man it looks better than the other stuff they are working on. I would give it a try. Looks like a desperation move and it will use microtransactions from what I remember, but I would give it a try. Of course I try about any game I even played Matrix Online for about....12 hours.
ReplyDeleteLive Gameplay?!? Either that level plays out exactly the same (with headshot and heal) everytime or I've seen this exact video somewhere else...maybe gamestop's previous coverage?
ReplyDeleteAre you sure that is from CES? I'm pretty damn sure that is from SOE's Fan Faire. I was there and the stage and screen, complete with Smed's outfit and what he said was exactly the same. This is from Fan Faire.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know, it is CES footage. If it is not, my apologies, but it does not excuse the piss-poor quality of what is shown.
ReplyDeleteI was under the impression it was CES related as well, but I was wrong. It was either Fan Faire or Gamer Day or something like that. Regardless, it doesn't look like anything special at all.
ReplyDeleteThat boss looked completely retarded, like something that might amuse me when I was 13. Other than that, it looks okay-ish. Just please stop with the spy fiction comparisons. It really felt like more of a bland single player title, what was massive about that? I am certainly not on the hook with that display.
ReplyDeleteSOE reminds me of the "starving" artist who is in reality a trust fund baby living out of daddy's pocket and producing nothing of substance.
ReplyDeleteWow... I'm surprised to see all the hate. Like Darren over at Comm Sense Gamer says, I get sort of a No One Lives Forever vibe from it, which to me is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to it as of right now. We'll see how it develops as it nears launch later this year.
I'll be honest Bilbo, I'm surprised anyone lived through that showing. It was that crappy to me.
ReplyDeleteEven the audience looked like it needed pillows.
